Morphing
With this operation, one object takes the form of another, by going through a continuous sequence of transformations. In-between the two objects, hybrid objects can be generated that have partially the forms of the two original objects. The operation can be executed dynamically in a continuous mode, or it can be executed in discrete steps. It works best when the two operands ahve similar topologies (isomorphic, meaning the same number of points and edges), but will also work with dissimilar topologies, when it produces rather unpredictable forms. These are useful for exploratory design.
