"Rosén Reklam is a small family company that my wife and I started in 1981. It is located in Scandinavia, north of Europe, in a small Swedish town called Molndal, very close to Gothenburg on the lovely west coast. Before starting the company, I worked at the Swedish bearing factory SKF for 15 years as a technical illustrator, making all kinds of images for brochures, manuals, instruction manuals and exhibitions. Eventually I found it to be the right time to take my future into my own hands. Now my customers are all kinds of technical and product companies in the area of Gothenburg, from small one man companies to large worldwide companies, and some advertising companies as well. I have really enjoyed working on my own. In the beginning of 1990 when the Swedish economy was in a free fall, and it was hard to get a job in the industry, I bought my first computer, a Macintosh. I went to school and learned how to work in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. When the wheel started rolling again I had a complete new tool to compete with. In 2001 I got a new Mac G4 and my first copy of form·Z. I spent a year practicing and learning the basic tools. To date, I have produced some really interesting images and find that the possibilities are limitless when you understand how to use the program. And due to the programÕs depth, you can learn something new every day.
I use form·Z as a modelling program only for technical applications. I build up the anatomy with the most common tools. I render the images in RenderZone, and finally do the last artistic work in Adobe Photoshop." |
