AutoDesSys released form•Z 3.5.5
on May 5, 2000. A new CD was mailed to all Family Plan members. The update
is also available as a patch that can be downloaded from the Download
area on this site. A list of the corrections in version 3.5.5 is included
in the same area.
New edition
of Swerdloff's "form•Z by design"

This is the first book on form•Z, published in 1997. It is
now in its 2nd edition, updated to version 3.0. The publisher is Stipes
Publishing (stipes@soltec.net).

A new edition updated to version 3.0, with a section
in color and animation examples, is now available for this 1999 best
seller. Published by Delmar Publishing (info@delmar.com).

"form•Z Desktop
Companion" published in English
March 01, 2000
This book, different from the others, has existed in
Swedish for several years and has been translated to English. The author,
Kenth Augurell, is also the publisher. As the title says, this is somewhat
of a catalogue of all the objects you can generate with form•Z.

This patch has been released and can be downloaded from
the Updates area
on this site. A list of the corrections included in 3.5.0.2 also can
be found in the same area.
1998-99 form•Z Joint
Study report has been published
January 04, 2000
As in the past, it consists of a printed document and a CD. The printed
report contains thematic articles written by principal investigators
or students, as well as displays of the award winning projects. The
CD displays student work done at 137 schools, organized by field and
alphabetically by school. It also includes multi-media projects produced
by students.
Copies of the Joint Study Report have been sent to the member schools
and also to the form•Z family plan subscribers. We also
are sending them to those requesting a copy, for as long as supplies
last. The award announcements and the printed report can be accessed here.

Awards

 Congratulations
to all! On October 20, 2000,AutoDesSys hosted a dinner
to announce and hand out the annual Joint Study Awards at the ACADIA conference
held at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.
These awards go to academic projects, created by deserving students around
the world, and selected by a distinguished jury comprised of academicians
and professionals. For a complete list go to the 2000

The award winning projects as well as all the work submitted by the colleges,
universities, and secondary education schools for the 1999 - 2000 academic
year, will be available in the "8th Annual Joint Study Report, Partnerships
in Learing." It will be published by December 2000 in print and on
CD.

form•Z 3.6 has been refined to correct any irregularities
reported to AutoDesSys. This latest update has been
mailed to all form•Z 3.6 users. A patch is also available
on this site.
