Description: This utility script will divide a view into smaller tiles as specified by the user. The utility is intended as a way to break up an image into smaller tiles that can be rendered separately and reassembled manually. This provides a work-around to the current maximum image size of 32767 x 32767 pixels. It also permits an image to be rendered on multiple computers simultaneously.
.

Instructions:
1) User must set the image size to the desired aspect ratio. For example, if the final image size needs to be 64000 x 48000, the user needs to set the custom image size so that the width is 1.3333 times the height. Image Size can be set by selecting Display > Image Options... from the menu.

2) The final image size needs to be evenly divisible by the number of tiles for a seamless fit in the final image. The user can specify this to be calculated automatically by the utility.

3) Run the utility by selecting Extensions > Run Utility from the menu. This will display a few options.

4) In the options, set the desired image size (in pixels) for the final image.

5) Set the number of tiles. This will specify the number of times the final image is divided in both width and height.

6) If the width or height is not evenly divisible by the number of tiles, the option box will be redisplayed with recalculated sizes that are even divisible. Also, if the size of a tile is larger than the maximum image size allowed by form·Z, the option box will be redisplayed with a higher number of tiles, so that the maximum image size is not exceeded in an individual tile.

Note: If the checkbox at the bottom of the menu is active, form·Z will automatically adjust the image size and number of tiles as necessary without redisplaying the options.

Once the options are set, the script will divide up the active view into subframes. Each of these tile views will be saved to the Views palette. An imager set can then be made using these saved views.

Limitations:
Does not work on Panoramic views.
Cannot change the aspect ratio of the image.
The script is also limited to 50 tiles in each direction.
